I’ve been angry with Chip and Jo. They made me love them and now they’re leaving me. Now that I’ve read Chips book, I get it now. I admire his priorities and that he’s kept them in focus throughout the fast and crazy rise of Fixer Upper. I forgive you two. I will always love you. Make it a happy life. I like Fixer Upper and the Gaines Family. However, this book was really boring. He jokes multiple times that it's not a juicy tell all book. I hoped he would talk about more about the work they do and most importantly how to be successful financially as an entrepreneur. I hoped for more behind the scenes and how they got their tv show. However, he skips over what I think would have been a pivotal and possibly exciting story of how Fixer Upper came about. He almost seems bitter towards the show.I appreciated his God thoughts. They seem like good people. Bur there were way too many mediocre chapters on insignificant memories. A lot of gloating on his wife. Which is sweet, until it becomes a bit redundant. I skipped several paragraphs (sometimes whole pages at a time). Unfortunately, the book consisted of really boring thoughts and basic observations about treating people right. I wouldn't recommend paying $16 for this book. Unless you know of someone that likes sports reference and needs a pep talk on how to be a better person.Pro: It's a really quick, easy read.
